Vassar Dies in Nampa
Hospital From Skull Fracture
NAMPA, Idaho (UP) - Verne Eldon Vassar, 13, son of Mr. And Mrs. John
Vassar of Bowmont, a community near Nampa, died in a hospital here
yesterday of injuries received in a fall from a small pony the day
He was riding the horse at a gallop when it turned
abruptly and the boy was thrown on his head. A neighborhood
child found him and reported it to her mother and the boy's parents
took the victim to a hospital. His skull was fractured and he
did not regain consciousness.
