 Varne Vassar Dies in Nampa
Hospital From Skull Fracture

NAMPA, Idaho (UP) - Verne Eldon Vassar, 13, son of Mr. And Mrs. John Vassar of Bowmont, a community near Nampa, died in a hospital here yesterday of injuries received in a fall from a small pony the day before.
He was riding the horse at a gallop when it turned abruptly and the boy was thrown on his head.  A neighborhood child found him and reported it to her mother and the boy's parents took the victim to a hospital.  His skull was fractured and he did not regain consciousness.
