William Powell Thomas,
59, of Wilder Route 1, died Friday night in a Caldwell
hospital.
Mr. Thomas was born Oct. 3, 1899, in Maco, Mo., and was
reared in Missouri. He moved to Oklahoma and on Nov. 30,
1922 married Rose Elvin Evans at Gate, Okla. The couple
lived there until 1935, when they moved to Colorado.
They returned to Oklahoma the following year and moved to
Wilder in 1937.
He was a member of the gate Methodist Church.
Surviving in addition to Mrs. Thomas are three sons,
Maynard Keith, Rupert, William Frank, Panama City, Fla., and
Kenneth E. Thomas, Homedale; two daughters, Mrs. Peggy Lou
Detweiler, Wilder, and Mrs. Louise Hamm, San Jose, Calif.; a
brother, Roy Thomas, Villa Park, Ill.; four sisters, Mrs. Dora
Seal, Mrs. Leah Pennington, Mrs. Clara Keil and Mrs. Dulele
Sizelove, all of Chicago, and 10 grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the
Peckham-Dakan-Davis Chapel. Interment will be in Wilder. |
