Walter Clarida

     Funeral services for Walter Clarida, 86, of Homedale, and formerly of Wilder, who died Sunday, Jan.17, at a Caldwell hospital of natural causes, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, at the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.  Rev. Kenneth Watson of the Bible Missionary Church, Homedale, will officiate.  Burial will follow at the Wilder Cemetery.
     Mr. Clarida was born may 22, 1901, at Iantha, Mo., the son of Scott Samuel and Florence Deardoff Clarida.  He married Mabel Essie Miller on Dec. 25, 1923, at Iantha.  They moved to the Wilder aria in 1929.  He had worked for W.E. Keedick in Central Cove area for six years and had then worked for Batt Farms at Wilder for 42 years.  For the past several years they had been residing at the Homedale nursing home.
     They were members of the Baptist Church in Missouri.
     Survivors include his wife of Homedale; a son, Larry Clarida and family of Lowell, Ohio; a brother, Charlie Clarida of Escondido, Calif.; a sister, Minnie Leighton of Mission, Kan.; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by a grandson, Terry, of Lowell.
     The family suggests memorials may be made to the Bible Missionary Church, P.O. Box 627, Homedale 83628.
     Friends may call today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
