William H. Cramer
William H. Cramer with his wife Ruth J. "Janie" Coggburn Cramer and their nine children settled on Pine Creek in 1891, where he homesteaded. Also homesteading in the area were his brother-in-law, John "Jack" Coggburn; Jack's brother-in-law, William Boston; and his daughter Vernia's future in-laws, the Lewis Paddocks. All four families came from Taney County, in southwest Missouri.
William Cramer received the homestead patent in 1912 for the Sw 1/4 of the SW 1/4of Section 25, Twp. 11 North, Range 1 East, B.M. The previous year he had finalized the purchase of the NW 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of the adjacent Section 36, a state section.
