Cornish miners to the Western side & Mormons to Eastern Idaho. Basque (Boise Idaho Basques) Sheepherders who settled in Southwestern Idaho. Chinese Early mining areas but few remained. Coeur d'Alene Mostly farmers Gypsies Finnish Silver Valley in the north and Long Valley in Valley County Early miners who later spread throughout the state. Shoshone, Latah, Kootenai, Nez Perce, Bannock, Bingham, & Minidoka Counties. Kootenai Later spread to agricultural areas throughout the state. Mormons Settled in Eastern Idaho, especially the Upper Snake River Valley. Nez Perce Poles & Slovaks Sawtooth Mountain Range. Also Lincoln & Gooding Counties Panhandle settlements, Bear Lake Valley, Upper Snake River Valley Shoshone-Bannock Shoshone-Paiute Mostly farmers. Miners, Mormons, & railroad workers. |
