Awards - Family History for Youth Young Women Personal Progress - Faith Value Project: Take a family class through your ward or branch, and collect stories of your relatives or others who have demonstrated faith. You may also interview family members or others and record their names. Duty to God Certificate Requirements: Deacon - Family Activities: 4. Keep a written record of your family history. Ask a parent or the ward family history consultant to help you prepare a 4-generation pedigree chart. Priest - Family Activities: 9. Submit the names of one of your ancestors for temple work or write a 500-word personal history. Scouting - Genealogy Boy Scout Merit Badge Pamphlet Primary: Prepare a pedigree chart with your name and your parents' and grandparents' names. Prepare a family group record for your family and share a family story. Discuss how performing temple work blesses families. |

BYU-Idaho Family History Conferences will be held: October 17th in Rexburg, Idaho October 24th in Boise, Idaho For more information go to the BYU-Idaho website at http://www.byui.edu/ce/familyhistory/default.htm Handouts for classes will be available on the website about the 1st of October. Participants will need to print their own copies from the website and bring them to the conference. |
