The Bureau County Genealogical Society offers the following research publications for sale.
All prices include shipping.

Marriage, Birth and Death Information, 1887-1920 from the LaMoille Gazette Newspaper, LaMoille, Bureau Co., IL

Covers all 30 years the newspaper was published from 1887 to 1920. Besides the basic information it includes the following:

1. residence(s) of the person(s), including past ones in the death section
2. name of minister for local marriages so a church can be determined, or the location of the marriage for the ones that took place outside Bureau Co.
3. maiden names for many of the females in the death section
4. citation (issue, page and column) for each entry
5. two helpful maps
6. explanatory material about the project

This publication includes information from the northeast part of Bureau County (LaMoille, Clarion and Westfield Townships and the towns of LaMoille, Arlington, Van Orin and others in Bureau Co.) plus Lee County and LaSalle County which border this area. The out-of-town deaths are for relatives of Bureau County persons who have moved away. Searches can be made to obtain copies of the original information from the newspaper. The three ways to do this are given in the book.



Bureau County Directory 1858-1859 Extractions

This book consists of over 5,000 names and locations abstracted from Bureau County's first directory. The first section of the book has the head of household names in alphabetical order with the name of the village or township where they resided. The second gives this information by location.



Marriage Extractions, 1878 to 1900, from the Bureau County Republican
This book consists of twenty-two years of marriage and marriage license application notices (5,477) published in the Bureau County Republican. Most of these notices include the complete name of the bride and of the groom and their residences, the date of marriage or license application, and the minister or official performing the marriage.


The Complete Name Index to The Voters and Taxpayers of Bureau County, Illinois - 1877
This name-only index consists of over 12,700 names mentioned in the original 1877 publication. This index is a must for anyone who owns or has access to the book.
