ABEL REYNOLDS, carpenter, West York, is a native of Randolph County, N. C., born
January 4, 1812. His father, Jesse Reynolds, was a farmer, born in the year 1784 in North
Carolina. He emigrated to Crawford County, Ill., in 1820, and there died in 1850. His
mother, Wilmety (Lamb) Reynolds, was born in North Carolina, in 1786, and died in Crawford
County in 1848. .... Mr. Reynolds was married in Indiana, November 11, 1832, to Miss Sarah
Cox, a native of Miami County, Ohio, who was born August 1, 1816. They have been blessed
with six children, of whom two are living, viz.: John and Ruth, both
married. Mr. Reynolds and wife are members of the Quaker Church. He is a Republican.
