The Eleanor Plain Board Room, on the second floor, doubles as the genealogy room. Most months there are two genealogy help sessions (2002 schedule) on Tuesdays; 1st Tuesday of month from 9:am-noon; 3rd Tuesday of month from 6:30-8:30pm. During library hours, unless there is a business meeting being held in the room, you can browse their genealogy holdings using the ample board room table as your workspace. They have an extensive collection of Aurora City Directories and many other unique items. Outside this room, also on the 2nd floor, there are 5 microfilm machines close to the microfilm cabinets. There is some limited-timed parking surrounding the library building (1-4 hours). However, there is a parking lot 1 block away on Stoup Street which is free with validation stamp from library.
