The Historical Library is located beneath the Old State Capitol in downtown Springfield, between Fifth and Sixth and Washington and Adams streets. Parking is available in the public garage beneath the Old State Capitol Plaza.

Newspapers and other material on microfilm and selected books may be borrowed on interlibrary loan.
