NEWS: Cass County Historical/Genealogical Society has purchased a building in Virginia, IL which will house a collection for Cass County researchers to come and use. Opening will be on October 2, 2001. Hours: Tuesday 1pm - 4pm; Thursday 6pm - 9pm and Saturday by appointment.

Reprint 1874 & 1899 Cass Co., IL Atlases
Both years are combined into one book. Volume contains more than 150 pages of maps and illustrations. Also includes full name indicies of the landowners with townships and section numbers of the property owned. Pre-publication price until Nov. 1, 2001 - $40 + $5 postage. Ashland Township Cemeteries, by Linda Davis
First in a series of publications updating Arthur Crumrin's book Old Cemeteries of Cass County, IL, first published in 1963, which excluded active cemeteries. The updated publications will include currently active cemeteries and will be published in a series, by Township. Contains 2,631 names, 629 surnames, includes data up to 1988 for six cemeteries.
