SIX
C. Thomas 29 Oct 11:14:33 2000

Hoping to find more on any SIX families in Cass Co., late 1800s-early 1900s, especially on Andrew and Nellie SIX.

Andrew and Nellie supposedly had two daughters, a Myrtle, and Martha June Six (WARD). Martha was b. ca. 1907, she believes in or near Beardstown.

Martha said she and her sister were split apart after being orphaned at a young age (under 4, she thinks), when Andrew & Nellie were killed in a horse and buggy accident ...

To what orphanage would children from Cass have been sent?

Does the name Andrew Six ring a bell with anyone (it could have been a middle name)?

Raydon Eiland Alexander 01 Feb 8:44:32 2000

Seeking information on Thurman Curtis Baker, Sr. b. c.1850's possibly in NY, settled in Virginia, IL area in 1870's. He married Mary Allen of Mississippi. They had two children: Donna Allen Baker b. 1880 and Thurman Curtis Baker, Jr. b. 1879, both of whom moved to Texas upon maturity.

T C Baker, Sr was a prosperous traveling shoe salesman covering the area of Springfield and surrounding counties. His first wife, Mary Allen, died after 1900. He remarried without further issue.

I realize there is very little to go on here. What I am hoping is that he might have had siblings whose descendants would recall the name. Any information on Virginia, IL Bakers of this period would be welcome.

Thanks in advance.
