Looking for info re William J. Andrews who enlisted in Virginia, Cass Co IL on July 31, 1861. He was born ca 1837 in Dunkirk NY and was the brother of my great grandmother Elizabeth Andrews who married Addison Dunkirk Garnsey.

Looking for information about the ancestors of Elizabeth Foster Davis (mother of John, b. 16 Nov 1822, Indian Creek, Cass, Cnty, IL). On 29 Oct 2005 there was a posting on this board that referenced Elizabeth, her parents (Michael & Elizabeth Foster), and grandparents (James & Jane Foster). I would appreciate hearing from the person who posted that message, or anyone else who has information on Elizabeth's Foster ancestors.

I am seeking information as to the parents of Daniel Ray, Jr born May 4, 1810 in New York, and lived in Mason and Cass counties, Illinois; mostly near Beardstown. The 1850 federal census for Mason County, IL lists Daniel Ray, Jr living next door to Daniel Ray with wife Sarah. However, Sarah is listed as 50 years old and Daniel Ray, Jr as 40. It is doubtful she is his mother but could be a step-mother. Can anyone clear this up?
