great grandfather John KLOHR who lived in Clinton County. From
the 1880
census info. I know he had a 107 acre farm in Lookinglass
Township, sec.
27. I think he died after 1892. His wife was Caroline Volker
and they
had 8 children, John, Mary, Theo. Henry,Philip, George, Charles,
and
Richard.
1.I am specifically looking for his death record and where he is
buried.
2.What city in Germany he came from. All I know is that he came
from
Bavaria. We are going to Germany in Sept. and I would love to
visit his
village.
3. My grandfather Philip's birth record. Philip was born in 1876
or 1875.

my great
grandmother is buried in the New Memphis Cemetery. Is it still
there? Is

Antonia M.C. Brentener, who was a resident of Clinton County,
IL, at the
time of her death on Nov. 11, 1914. She was born in Junglinster.
Luxembourg. Believe she was a sister of my great-grandmother,
but the
name does not agree with those I have. One relative thinks that
she had
entered a convent and taken Antonia as a religious name, then
kept it
after she left the convent. But we cannot determine which of
several
sisters, by birth name, she might have been. I do not know which
city in
Clinton County she lived or I would write for death certificate,
as a
birth date or age at death would help.
