I am interested in any information on Gideon
BURTON who moved to Clinton County Illinois in the early 1800's
(probably about 1814). His daughter Dorothy married a John
CARTER. They are my ancestors.
Interested in the BARTOW Family. I have
information on an Archie BARTOW born to Mr. and Mrs. John BARTOW
abt. 1873 in Clinton City, Illinois. Mr. BARTOW was originally
from PA, I think. Need any and all information about this family
as they are part of my family. Thanks for your help.
I am looking for information on my
great great great grandparents, Mathias HOFFMAN and his wife,
Anna (surname unknown to me). They immigrated from Switzerland
to Clinton County sometime in the mid-1800's, after 1838. Anna
died in Wheatfield Twp. in Clinton County, but I have no date
for her birth or death. Their daughter, Catherine HOFFMAN, my
great great grandmother, married Henry GERKE in Feb., 1867. If
you have any information about the HOFFMAN or GERKE families, I
would very much appreciate hearing from you. .

b 1806 TN m Samantha Ann HOUSTON b 1811 NY. Thomas' parents',
Aquilla & Luienda SUGG, moved to Bond Co, IL abt 1818.
Samantha's parents moved to the area about the same time,
possibly to Clinton Co, IL. I would like the marriage date of
Thomas & Samantha. I would also like to find the parents &
siblings of Samantha.

Clemens J. KUHL was born 1843 Lingerich, Hannover, Germany.
Marriage record lists his parents as Herman Kuhl and Eliza
MEISCHA(?). Possible relatives in Clinton county are Joseph
KUHL, born abt 1850 and Frank KUHL, born abt 1838. Clemens came
to U.S. about 1867, settling at Aviston. Married 1st Wilhelmina
(Anna) BUSS. Children: Joseph born 1869,William born 1871,
Herman born 1873, Henry born 1875. Clemens married 2nd Catherine
BRINKER. Known children: Anna born 1883, Wilhemina born 1886,
Caroline born 1887, Bernard born 1889, Mary born 1892 and Herman
Clemens born 1880.
CROSS, charles born in clinton county, IL in
1844. killed in the civil war in 1864 and is said to be buried
in a military cemetery in nashville, TN. looking for parent's

TAYLOR B. 1840 IN Casey Co. Ky. and married 1st. Sarah J. EARLS
(D/O James EARLS JR.) in 1859 in Casey co. KY.& lived on the
Little South Rolling Fork of the North Rolling Fork in the
Forklands of Northern Casey co. Ky. Kids of 1st marriage were:
1. William TAYLOR b.Nov 1861 in Casey,2. Arminda J. TAYLOR
b.12/12/1862 in Casey,3. John W.TAYLOR b. 3/7/1865 in Casey co.
kY. He was in the 8th Ky Cav. I co. of the Union Forces in the
Civil W ar. After the Civil War was over the family moved to
Clinton Co., Centralia Illinois and the area of Marion co. &
Washington co. Ill. He lived on the three (3) county lines.
There were two (2) more kids born to this first marriage who
were: 4. Mary Ellen TAYLOR b. 1/16/1868 and 5. Sarah A. TAYLOR
b. 1/6/1872. Eason's wife died in ca.1880 and he remarried 2ndly
a Mary Jane CANTRELL (D/O Moses CANTRELL) and they had two (2)
more kids of this second union, who were: 1. Edward TAYLOR b. ca
1889 and 2. Rosa Lee TAYLOR b. ca 1891 both born in Illinois.
The present day living relatives would be GG Grandkids to Esone
and would be in their 50's. Any assistance would be greatly
appreciated and reciprocated. This Eason is the son of a George
Taylor & Jane Ann PORTER of Casey co. KY who were married in
