CEMETERY Lookups

Volunteers are NEEDED to do lookups in any format reference source related to Cook County. If you own or have access to any Cook County genealogy reference sources, please contact one of the Cook County ILGenWeb Coordinators to be listed on this page.  NOTE: Lookup Sources, along with copyright dates MUST be included in your LOOKUP OFFER email.

IMPORTANT ~ PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE SECTION BEFORE REQUESTING A LOOKUP!
USGenWeb policy prohibits lookup volunteers from infringing on copyright, so please do not ask for large quantities of information, information on multiple people, or Xerox copies of pages from the resources.

These LOOKUP RESEARCHER and VOLUNTEER lists are intended as an aid for those who cannot hire a professional genealogist... they will not be used as a free advertising media for personal profit!

If you find that you need to hire a professional genealogist, please check the Cook County ILGenWeb Genealogy Research page for Society and Organizations that might make referrals.

USGenWeb is a non profit entity and Cook County ILGenWeb will not allow any "FOR PROFIT" distribution of research material.

Please limit your request to one or two names per request.
The subject line of your email will be automatically entered when you "click" on the researcher's name to ensure that your email is not overlooked or accidentally deleted. PLEASE do NOT change the subject line!

If you request a lookup, don't forget to THANK your volunteer for his or her time.

Cemetery Census Series - Master Index

Those seeking ancestors who may be buried in one of the 93 South Cook and North Will County cemeteries transcribed by The South Suburban Genealogical & Historical Society as part of its Cemetery Census Series may receive a quick lookup in our Master Index at no charge.  Please note that the Master Index does NOT give dates - only the name of the cemetery.  Please look at the listings (on our site) of the cemeteries and the locations before you make your request since WE ONLY HAVE readings for cemeteries south of Chicago's southern boundaries.  Detailed information for requesting a lookup can be found on our site.
