Obviously, I never throw anything away and am looking for long lost relatives with the same habit! I am researching my father's Schwemm and Pahlke Ancestors. The Schwemms emigrated from Germany to Barrington, IL around 1867. Since Barrington is divided by Cook, Lake, Kane and McHenry Counties, they are spread among them, However the Schwemm Farm was in Cook County.
