The Ansel Brainerd Cook Chapter, NSDAR is a women’s service organization that has proudly served the Libertyville-Mundelein-Vernon Hills area of Lake County, IL since 1977. The DAR goals are to promote education, historical preservation, and patriotism in our community.

Text Box: SOME PROJECTS WE PARTICIPATE IN
Actively support veterans at the North Chicago V.A. Hospital 
Award Good Citizen Medals to outstanding high school seniors in 5 local high schools-Libertyville, Mundelein, Vernon Hills, Stevenson, Carmel.  
Sponsor the American History Essay contest in local elementary and junior high schools in Lake County.  
Host membership/genealogy workshops twice a year– Oct and Feb.
Participate in the Libertyville Days parade.
Membership is open to a woman who can document direct lineage to a man or woman who aided the cause of American Independence according to the guidelines of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
