EIGHT NEW BOOKS!

EIGHT NEW HONOR ROLL BOOKS - Bond Co., IL, Fulton Co., IL, Jefferson Co, IL, Pike Co., IL, Sangamon Co., IL, Scott Co., IL, Stark Co., IL, Woodford Co, IL.
Taken from the Illinois Veteran's Commission list of 1956
The books contain a list of veterans by cemetery. Information given is: the war in which they served; their rank; branch of service; and unit.
Most times it gives the date of death. Sometimes it gives the grave#, lot, block, and section. It also denotes if they have a government headstone. Because many cemeteries have been vandalized and many stones are now unreadable these books may be the only place you will find the information of a veteran's death and burial.
