Addison, Illinois

Addison is a village located in northeastern Illinois, DuPage County and is 18 miles west of the center of Chicago. It is a residential suburb of Chicago.The Addison Historical Society is housed in the historical Balzer House. Addison is governed by a mayor and and six trustees, serving as a board of trustees, who employ a professional village manager. The village was named for 18th-century British essayist Joseph Addison. Population: 35,914
