Index to Elgin Township Name Changes

When the Kane County Clerk of the Circuit Court gave their records to the local historical societies, the files included divorce records, inheritance tax records, name changes and mother’s pensions.    The divorce records were previously indexed and the index is available on the Elgin Divorce Pages.  The inheritance tax records were combined with the probate records and that index is available on the Elgin Probate Pages.   This is the index to the name changes.  Please refer to the EGS Research Policy if you would like copies.   We hope this index is helpful to you in your research.
