Granddaughter of Andrew Dever . He and his brother John came over from
Ireland in 1823. Also for relatives of Gashiam Augustus Dever,son of Andrew

I am seeking information on my Father's family, WORKMAN, Jesse born
1903 in FAYETTE COUNTY, IL, his father was William T. WORKMAN, he worked
on a farm in Illinois. His Father was Israel WORKMAN born in 1867 in Ohio.

I'm seeking information pertaining to Richard Reynolds who is listed
in the 1830 census of Fayette County. He may have been dead by 1844 and
left three children - Benjamin, Mary Elizabeth, and Richard.

Looking for any information on Rev. Thomas RICE and family, born July
3, 1816, somewhere in KY. He married Keturah VOYLES (aka Kitty VOILES)
in Hancock County, KY on April 15, 1837. He was a Circuit Rider for the
Baptist Church and all over KY, IL, and IN. He ended up in IL; Clay County,
as far as I can tell, but nothing concrete yet.
Thomas William RICE and Kitty VOYLES had 9 children:
1). Jacob RICE b: Bet. 1837 - 1838 in Hancock Co., KY d: March 19,
1864 in Lexington, Fayette Co., KY. He married Susan MILLER d: April 20,
1862 in IN.
2). Thomas General Harrison RICE b: December 21, 1840 Hancock Co.,
KY d: January 13, 1898 Clay Co., IL. He married (1) Sarah YOUNG b: August
28, 1842 in St. Meinora, KY d: November 17, 1867 AND (2) Neoma PIKE (Naomi
Pike) b: November 11, 1851 Seymour, IN d: July 12, 1919 in Flora, IL.
3). Matilda Jane RICE b: 1845 in KY d: Abt. 1876. She married (1) Isaac
LYONS d: September 01, 1863 AND (2) William DALLAS, Sr.
4). Samuel Jesse RICE b: July 04, 1847 Hancock, KY d: March 13, 1914
in Vandalia, Fayette Co., IL. He married (1) Martha LOCKE b: February 04,
1849 in Fayette Co., IL d: December 26, 1907 in Union, IL AND (2) Elizabeth
DANIELS b: 1869 d: May 01, 1945.
5). Walter RICE b: Bet. 1849 - 1850 in KY
6). Lewis RICE b: May 22, 1853 in Spencer Co., IN d: May 28, 1918 in

Looking for info on James Lingo and descendants. He married Elizabeth
Cartright, Nov. 16, 1837 in Bond Co., and purchased land in Fayette. May
have moved to Fayette. He was b. 1814, died 1873.
CRANDALL (CRANDELL) / HESS
Looking for information on the family and children of Albert CRANDALL(Crandell)
and Rebecca J. HESS. They were married in 1851 in Fulton Co IL but sometime
after that moved and settled in Fayette Co IL. Rebecca died in 1917 and
is buried in Farina Cemetery. They had a son William J. who was living
in Farina at age 83 in 1932. Any help or clues would be most welcome.

I am researching Descendants of Adeline SPEARS and John OWENS. Adeline
SPEARS was b. 15 Mar 1828. Children known are James Owens and Sam Owens.
Adeline SPEARS is a sister to my ggg grndfather Thomas Adali
SPEARS. My gg grndmother was Eva BOYD CASEY dau of Sarah SPEARS and
Charles BOYD. Eva married Samuel Hiram Casey in Fayette Co IL on 25 Apr
1893.

DePEW / NICHOLS / ROGERS
I am very interested in any information on Julia DEPEW, born about
1870 to Abraham DEPEW and Isabel NICHOLS who lived in Bowling Green, Fayette
County, in 1870. She married William Douglas ROGERS about 1889. Her father,
Abraham, may have been sent to prison for the murder of his neighbor, William
Austin. What happened to the other children of this union?
Any help would be appreciated.
CONNER / WILSON
In 1853 a James Conner who already owned two tracts of land in Fayette
Co. Il received a free land grant of 40 acres in Fayette Co. It was a military
grant. I am looking for more information on this James Conner. Where did
he come from, when was he born, etc. I have a James Conner who was born
in 1787-1794 time period in VA who served in the War of 1812 and would
have been eligable for a 40 acre land grant. The James born in VA lived
in Cumberland Co. KY with his family until he returned from the War of
1812 and he disappeared after that. We do know that he allegedly died in
IL. James had a sister "Betsy" that married Benjamin Wilson in 1805. We
think that James Conner and Benjamin Wilson may have come to Fayette Co.
IL. Any help on either of these will be appreciated.

I discovered something very unsetting when I went to visit my Father's
grave in Sept and I need to know who to talk to about it. The cemetery
is in Ramsey, across the road for the Catholic Cemetery. If you could e-mail

Does anyone have information on a Dr. George A. Martin. As he was a
doctor in a rural area, perhaps he is listed in a history of Fayette County,
Brownstown or Vandalia,Illinois. I'm searching the Martin family. Dr. George
A. Martin (b. Jun 1867, d. unknown)was a physician in Fayette County at
least until 1901, when his son Delmar I. Martin was born (May 29, 1901).
In the 1900 census, he & his wife, Ella J. Dillingham, had two children,
Jesse born Sept. 1897 and Paul born April 1896. Also, living with them
was a 22 year old dauhter, Mary B. from an earlier marrage. In the 1880
census, George is listed as married to a J.E. Martin with dauhter Mary
and another dauhter w/ initials M.H.
Any info. or advice on where to search for George will be appreciated.

took place in Bingham, Fayette County on October 5, 1898. Sophia (called
Della) Strickland married Adam Fravala on that day. Seeking information
