Looking for information on John Baldwin born about 1817 in Fayette County, IL. (Ramsey). Wife's name is unknown. His son was Willis Dodson Baldwin born in Fayette County in 1837 who married Mary Catherine Davidson. She was from either Missouri or Illinios.

Searching for information on the following; Jacob W Ritchie, b. 4-14-1830(1) Licking Co. OH. d. 11-6-1905. (father named William ?)Married Julia Ann Loar (b. 4-7-1835 d. 7-24-1911) in Licking Co. on 6-8-1854. Graves said to be N.W. of Altamont at Crumbs Chapel Cemetary in Fayette Co. Jacob had eleven children and a sister Mary Tirey or Terry. I believe they resided around St. Elmo . Also searching for Deffebaugh and Finfrock, thought to have lived in the same area. Graves on route 40 ?

John Anderson WILLIAMS: Born about 1828 (22 in 1850 Census), Illinois; Died 1865/1868; Married 2 November 1851, Fayette Co., Illinois; Delilah DONALDSON: Born about 1831,
Illinois. After John's death Delilah married William POPE. A James M. DONALDSON made affidavit at her second marriage. James is believed to be a brother inlaw of William POPE. He may also be a relative of Delilah, with whom he shares a surname--DONALDSON. John and Delilah had five children: Mary Susan "Susan" WILLIAMS who married Aaron COOK; Sarah Williams born about 1852; Cornelius WILLIAMS born about 1856 who married Mahala GARLAND and then married Throney COLE; Charles WILLIAMS born about 1865; and John William WILLIAMS who married Ruth Elizabeth MORELAND.

Tate born 1799 TN; his wife-- Frances (Tate) born 1802, KY; or (I believe) his daughter -- Sarah Ann Tate born Abt. 1843, (still alive in 1880) who married James L. Moreland   Thanks,  Doug Strong

FLEMING / McBROOM
I am searching for information about my great-great grandparents who were married in Fayette County on January 12, 1831. They were Harrison McBroom born in 1812 in Ohio and Mary Ann Fleming. I believe Mary Ann was the daughter of a Joohn Ford Fleming in Overton County, Tennessee. Harrison and Mary Ann had a son William McBroom born in 1832 born in Fayette County to the best of my knowledge.
Does anyone know anything about either of these families in Fayette County?

My gg-Grandfather was Martin Bledsoe.He use to live near Beecher City,Illinois.He is buried in Ransom cemetary in a unmarked grave.The church which kept records of where everyone in the Cemetary was burned.The records along with the church were destroyed.If anyone has info. on Ransom Cemetary;Please E-mail me.I would like to know which plot he is buried in.He died around 1895. I am looking to verify the parents of my great grandfather William Thomas REESE.
He is in the 1900 and 1910 census in Washington County, AR. According to those records he was born in Sep 1863 in Illinois. In the 1880 census Washington Co,AR there is the following family.

REECE, Benjamin F. 56 TN SC NC - America 51 IN NC NC -  William T. 16 IL -  David W. 16 IL ----I think this William T. may be my great grandfather. I have been told by other researchers that this Benjamin Reese(Reece is a misspelling I think) is Benjamin Franklin Reese originally from Morgan Co., TN then Fayette Co., and Effingham Co.,IL.

Benjamin Franklin Reese born 24 Oct 1825 in Morgan Co., TN died 06 Nov 1894 in Howell Co., MO. He married #1 Caroline Ross 02 Sept 1847 in Fayette Co., IL; married #2 Anthonelta Unknown Abt 1859; married #3 America Meyers 15 Feb 1868 in Jefferson Co., IL.. He served in Co. A, 3rd Illinois in Mexican War and Co. E, 11th Reg, Illinois during Civil War. Children of Benjamin Reese: Son Reese -  William T. Reese - David W. Reese -  James Reese born 1848, Illinois. -- It appears from what I have seen of Benjamin's family that there were several of them in Fayette Co,IL in 1863. Can anyone help me verify that William T. Reese b. Sep 1863 is the son of Benjamin F. Reese. One note of caution. There is another William Thomas Reese who is a first cousin of my William Thomas Reese. He is the son of Sherwood Reese and Mary Welch Reese. He was born before 1869 in Vandalia,Fayette,IL d. Mar 12 1942 Terestia,Shannon,Missouri m. 3 times Nancy Hansford, Lucinda Kanatzer, Mary Jane Styles. I am not looking for this William Thomas Reese. Thanks, -  Janine

Elizabeth Betsey Muck: born 1798 VA..died Fayette Co, IL after 1870. George Muck: her 2nd husband born in OH, died Fayette Co, IL Their son: George Muck b. 1842 in OH, died in IL ?
Henry Long: Elizabeth's son by her 1st marriage to Henry Long. The 1870 Census shows them in Garden City(?) Can anyone, please, advise where I should go from here?

I am looking for information on my GGG Grandmother. Her name was Chloe Ann Sherman Doney. She died in Farina, Fayette Co, IL on April 21, 1874. She was born in NY and probably lived in NY until the last year or so of her life. She probably moved to ILL to be with Her daughter Lydia Doney Wenck who was married to John Wenck. I am searching for info. onmy great grandparents. I was told my great grandmother was Grace Emma Bowles?Boles????
I think she was born in Vandalia.. Maybe her name was GRACE EMMA BOWES!?! I did not see any Bowles, etc. in the area as I looked for the surname. She was born in 1885, I think. I do not know who her parents were..Seems like I heard about Louis/Lewis and Mae/May????????? She married Corder Dale (C.D.) STONE, his parents supposedly were THOMAS JEFFERSON STONE AND HEPSIBAH/HEPSIBETH (RENCH/WRENCH) STONE. I was told he was from Vandalia as well, but didn't find this surname registered either.
