She md. Adam Allen Guthrie, 14-Jan-1830, in Fayette County, ILL. She was
the daughter of William Sidwell and Mary Key.
This is not a direct connection to my family but Adam Allen Guthrie
was the brother of my 4th ggrandfather, George Washington Guthrie. I'm

survives and grandchildren. Died in an accident near London 22 Aug 1922.

Mary, Charlie Mikel m Ida Hicks, Albert m Stella Gillmore. Any info on

born on 28 sept. 1872. I was led to believe most of the family moved to

in the same area as these other Guthrie's. G.W. Guthrie married a Jane
AUSTIN, and had two children. John A. GUTHRIE and Eliza A. GUTHRIE, in
1850 Eliza was living in the household of Allen AUSTIN. Allen was probably
the brother of Jane AUSTIN. He later married Margaret Harris Cothren. G.W.
and Margaret moved the family to Kansas. I'm trying to locate the other
GUTHRIE families of Fayette County. In hopes of finding a missing connection,
and the parents of G.W. Guthrie!

Brownstown, Loogotee, St. Elmo's) from the mid/late 1800s to present.
GGF Wesley Sylvester Helm married Mayme???. Their children were Clarence,
Bertha and Gertrude (twins) and Fern.
Bertha married Laren Whitehead. Their daughter Farold married Gerald
Zimmer
Gerttrude (Gertie) married Frank 'Mike' Pruett. Daughter Frankie married
Vance Guffey. They had a daughter named Jeannie
Fern married Bill Smail. They had two daughters, Janet and Shirley
Clarence married Florence Ellen Oliver (parents' names unknown but
I believe her mother immigrated from Germany). Florence had one brother
and three sisters: Hugh Oliver, Hattie Oliver, Bessie Oliver Pruitt, and
Phoebe Oliver Stuttwig (married John Stuttwig, lived in East St. Louis).
Clarence and Florence had three children: Louise, Lawrence Wesley and
Roger.
Louise married Ervin Schwarm, son of Arl and Nelle Schwarm

George Riley of North Carolina and America (?) of Kentucky had several
children and lived in Fayette Co. in 1850. All children are listed as being
born in IL. Their third child, Caroline Riley married a Joseph Baron in
2 Jan. 1861 in Fayette Co.
According to family story Joseph immigrated from Luxemburg (maybe the
country or Luxemburg, Stearns
Co. MN). They died in a hotel fire, or of typhoid depending on who
you talk to. They were both dead
by their daughter Susan Geneva Baron's marriage on 23 Dec. 1880 to
Henry Clay Moore in Evansville

by the family of the child Hubert Moses Crotser who was born June 7, 1913
to the widow Rosibell Smith Crotser, following the death of his father,
Herbert A. Crotser, on December 2, 1912. Rosibell Smith Crotser then married
Hugh Dennis Cleary and the child was known by the name Herbert Morris Cleary.
His name was legally changed from Crotser to Cleary and we as descendents
would like to locate our Crotser relatives.

care of by Bethal Baptist Church. Try contacting them. My paternal great-grandmother
Rachel Le (CHESHIRE) HIMES,(wife of William Henry HIMES) donated more land
for the cemetery abt 1907. The little farmhouse on the east side of the
cemetery was hers, then my grandfather Ernest Wm. HIMES. I grew up playing
beside the cemetery. Grandfather's barn was on the south side. My maternal
grandmother Morna
Evalene (BESS) HIMES ancestors relatives donated the original Cemetery
land. My grandparents Ernest Wm. HIMES and Morna Evalene (BESS)and her
parents my great grandparents
Henry BESS and Sarah Elizabeth (ELMORE) are buried there. I hope this
helps. I now live 1300
miles away from there in New Mexico.
I know Lloyd BROWNING is still living, but up in years.

Born 1870, Died Oct.-Dec. 1895. Died about six months before my grandmother
was born, of T.B. I don't have any way of knowing where the sanitariums
were in that time frame so I haven't been able to locate a death certificate.
I do know however that he married Stella (Osburn) Nov. 23,1892, she was
born in 1878, they had one child that died in infancy, and my grandmother
that was born May 18, 1896. The marriage certicate says Sam Trailor lived
Ramsey,Ill. and she lived in Mulberry Grove, Ill. I think they are in Fayette
Co. Would appreciate any information that I could get on him and his parents.
We pretty much have the info on Stella.

Trying to locate the burial place of Zina (aka William) Brainard. Zina
came from NY to MI.,probably in the 1870's. He married Ida Mae Austin in
1883. After Ida Mae's death in 1900, he and his son Grover moved to Hissong,
Fayette Co., IL. According to the information that I have he was a grocer
and died there in 1903. I have been unable to locate the cemetery that
he was buried in. Any help would be appreciated.

I am looking for my Grandfather ADAM SHAFFER that moved to Fayette
county in the late 1800's. He moved there with his Father ADAM SHAFFER
and Mother MARY JANE TAYLOR-DIXON SHAFFER. He married ABIGAIL DAVIS and
had his family in and around Bingham and Fillmore. His Father died in Fillmore
in about 1886. I'm not sure where his Mother is buried but his Father is
buried in the Brown Cemetery outside of Coffeen. If anyone has any information

E Elder marrying Elizabeth Gray around 1830-1850s. This is my great-great-grandparents.
My great-grandfather, Thomas Denton Elder was born in Illinois. I also
believed he met his wife Hettie Mariah E. McKenzie around Fayette County,
Illinois. I know that there are alot of McKenzies buried in St. Elmo, Illnois.
