GILL / WICKER
I'm looking for information on David Carter Gill. He was married to
Susan F. Wicker and lived in Fayette County, Illinois. Marriage date 6/7/1858.
Together they had 7 children: David Matthew (twin), Henry Thomas (twin),
Amanda, Mariah J., Ellen, Polly and Addie M. Also if anyone knows anything
about Polly I would love to hear from them. David Carter Gill and Susan
Wicker are buried on land now owned by the Greene Family. The land passed
to the Greene's by the marriage of one of the daughter's who married a
Greene after David Carter Gill died.

I'm searching for the family of Minerva A. LUSTER, born in 1831 in
Fayette County, IL. I don't know her father's first name, but I believe
her mother was Polly KING. I believe she may have had a brother, Archibald,
born about 1824. When she was 9 years old, her parents died and she was
sent to live with an uncle in New London, Henry County, Iowa. There she
met and eventually married Thomas HARDIN. Together they moved to Linn County,
MO. If anyone knows of this family, please contact me.

CHESHIRE / HIMES / BESS / BROWNING / BARGER
BROWNING Cemetery west of Vandalia, Shafter Twp,Fayette Co, IL is taken
care of by Bethal Baptist Church. Try contacting them. My paternal great-grandmother
Rachel Le (CHESHIRE) HIMES,(wife of William Henry HIMES) donated more land
for the cemetery abt 1907. The little farmhouse on the east side of the
cemetery was hers, then my grandfather Ernest Wm. HIMES. I grew up playing
beside the cemetery. Grandfather's barn was on the south side. My maternal
grandmother Morna
Evalene (BESS) HIMES ancestors relatives donated the original Cemetery
land. My grandparents Ernest Wm. HIMES and Morna Evalene (BESS)and her
parents my great grandparents
Henry BESS and Sarah Elizabeth (ELMORE) are buried there. I hope this
helps. I now live 1300
miles away from there in New Mexico.
I know Lloyd BROWNING is still living, but up in years.
I would try contacting the Bethal Baptist Church first.

Trying to find out information on the family of William Albert HOYLE
(b. 1866) and Sarah Ann OSBORN(b. 1870). They are listed in the 1900 Fayette
County Census under the last name of HOYLE. They had 7 living children
(Noel, Susan Mae, Ernest, Charles, Roxie, Katy and Ruth). Sarah Ann OSBORN's
parents might have been John W. OSBORN & Matilda J. ROW or (ROE). Any
information would be appreciated.

descended from Joseph's son, Daniel McKINNEY and his wife Frances WILLIAMS
through their son William McKINNEY (m. 1845 Nancy McALILEY) and granddaughter
Frances McKINNEY (m. 1864 Samuel Wood OSBORN). Would like to compare notes

TRAILOR / TRAYLOR
looking for information on Samuel Frank Trailor or Traylor.
Born 1870, Died Oct.-Dec. 1895. Died about six months before my grandmother
was born, of T.B. I don't have any way of knowing where the sanitariums
were in that time frame so I haven't been able to locate a death certificate.
I do know however that he married Stella (Osburn) Nov. 23,1892, she was
born in 1878, they had one child that died in infancy, and my grandmother
that was born May 18, 1896. The marriage certicate says Sam Trailor lived
Ramsey,Ill. and she lived in Mulberry Grove, Ill. I think they are in Fayette
Co. Would appreciate any information that I could get on him and his parents.
We pretty much have the info on Stella.

Does anyone have any information on John L. Wallace b. 29 April 1847
and Esther Jenkins b. 8 January 1850, whose daugther Susan May Wallace
married Rolland Henry Eyetsone in 1903 in Wheatland Twp. Since Eyestone/Wallace
marriage took
place in Fayette Co. I suspect that Susan parents were from
this county although I am not certain.

BRAINERD / BRAINARD / AUSTIN
Trying to locate the burial place of Zina (aka William) Brainard. Zina
came from NY to MI.,probably in the 1870's. He married Ida Mae Austin in
1883. After Ida Mae's death in 1900, he and his son Grover moved to Hissong,
Fayette Co., IL. According to the information that I have he was a grocer
and died there in 1903. I have been unable to locate the cemetery that
he was buried in. Any help would be appreciated.

the family. I saw a message posted about a Murvil Crotser. Some one from

Steve Crotser is the son of Thomas Albert Crotser.
Thomas is the son of Rolla Pearl and Ila Mae Crotser.
Rolla was a brother to Murvil Crotser, who had drowned in July 1914.

STODDARD / STOKES / LIVINGSTON
I am searching for information on WIlliam H(ooker) Stoddard who moved
with wife Dorothy and (hopefully) daughter Lucy to
Fayette Co. IL in Dec 1838. They purportedly lived with Uncle Jimmy
Stokes (no clue) for a few days before they settled down and found a home.
I find numerous Land records in early 1839 for William H Stoddard which
I am still researching. He was purportedly and Reverend and Lucy (my GG
Grandmother) was an assitant teacher at Vandalia(?). If I can connect this
will be a major link in my genealogy.

SHAFFER / TAYLOR-DIXON
I am looking for my Grandfather ADAM SHAFFER that moved to Fayette
county in the late 1800's. He moved there with his Father ADAM SHAFFER
and Mother MARY JANE TAYLOR-DIXON SHAFFER. He married ABIGAIL DAVIS and
had his family in and around Bingham and Fillmore. His Father died in Fillmore
in about 1886. I'm not sure where his Mother is buried but his Father is
buried in the Brown Cemetery outside of Coffeen. If anyone has any information
on this family I would sure appreciate the help.

I am looking for a marriage record or a census record showing a Sam
E Elder marrying Elizabeth Gray around 1830-1850s. This is my great-great-grandparents.
My great-grandfather, Thomas Denton Elder was born in Illinois. I also
believed he met his wife Hettie Mariah E. McKenzie around Fayette County,
Illinois. I know that there are alot of McKenzies buried in St. Elmo, Illnois.
Any help would be great appreciated!!
