James M. Hall
James M. Hall, 85, of Ramsey, died at 9:37 a.m. Monday, November 14, 1983, in Hillsboro Hospital. He was born January 20, 1898 in Ramsey, a son of Monroe and Nancy (Hall) Hall. He married Iva McFarland on October 9, 1966. He was a retired farmer and a member of Independence Church of Christ, former member of Vandalia American Legion and a World II veteran.
Surviving are his wife, daughters, Mrs. Vivian Clayton of Des Moines, Iowa; Pearl Woodward of Goshen, Mass.; Illene Bennett of Decatur; several stepchildren; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren. Two sons, four brothers and one sister preceded him in death. Services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Miller Funeral Home, Ramsey, with the Rev. Max Hall officiating. Burial was in Independence Cemetery, south of Ramsey.
