Miles Monroe HALL of Sharon township died Thursday afternoon, June 22nd, at 7:30 o'clock, after an illness of several weeks. He was aged 81 years, 2 months and 19 days.
Mr. Hall was born in Fayette county, April 3, 1863, the son of Gilbert and Elizabeth Crotser Hall. He spent his entire life in this county. He was married May 23rd, 1889, in Terre Haute, Ind., to Nancy Ann Hall who preceded him in death in August 1939.
Deceased is survived by the following children: John H., George, James, and David Hall, of Ramsey; Henry in the army at Camp White, Oregon, and Mrs. John Sapp of Des Moines, Iowa. A sister, Deborah, and a son, Fred, preceded him in death. There are 22 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Hall had been a member of the Church of Christ in the Independence community since 1909. Funeral services were held there Saturday afternoon at two o'clock with the Rev. O. A. Timmons officiating. Buiral was in Independence cemetery, the Blue Funeral Home of Ramsey in charge.

Mrs. Nancy A. Hall, wife of Mr. Monroe Hall, died in her home Saturday afternoon, August 5, 1939, aged 76 years, 7 months and 10 days of age. Deceased is survived by her devoted husband, five sons, George, John, David, James and Henry of Ramsey, one daughter, Mrs. Mable SAPP, of Des Moines, Iowa, and one brother, Grant Hall, of Mulberry Grove, Illinois. Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon, August 7th, from Independence church. Interment was in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Monroe Hall passed away at her home here Saturday afternoon after a brief illness with dropsy and heart trouble. She was 76 years old and leaves a host of relatives and her husband to mourn her departure. Interment was in Independence. the funeral services were Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, O. A. Timmons officiating.
