General membership meetings will be held at 9:30 a.m. on the third Saturday of January, March, September and November with one night meeting in May.

Special activities are held throughout the year. We will be sponsoring a booth at the Fox Lake Home and Business Expo on March 7, 2009. The Expo will be held at Grant High School, 285 E. Grand Avenue, Fox Lake, IL from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Admission is free. Stop by our booth to see our displays on Abraham Lincoln and Forest School.

In conjunction with 4th of July celebrations, an old-fashioned pie and ice cream social will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2009, at Grant Hall Museum, 411 Washington Street, Ingleside, IL.

On October 4, 2009, we will be hosting an antique appraisal luncheon at Maravelas. Tickets include lunch and appraisal of one item for the first 60 people. Call 847/587-0544 for further information.

All Historical Society meetings are held at Grant Hall Museum, 411 Washington Street., Ingleside. All meetings are open and free to the public.

Grant Hall Museum is closed in January and will re-open on the first and third Sundays of every month starting in February from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Special tours on request - call 847/587-0544.
