6 Eggs
1 tsp of Oil
1 tsp of Vanilla |
1/4 tsp (or dash) of Salt
3 to 3½ cups of Flour |
Beat the Eggs and Dash of salt with your hand.
Add Vanilla and mix in 3 to 3½ cups of Flour until the
dough is not tough, but not sticky either. (The larger the Eggs, the more Flour is required).
Cut into 4 portions and roll out one at a time. Roll quite thin. Cut into strips 8 to 10 inches long.
Braid or twist like a pretzel.
Pinch the ends and fry in hot oil or lard. When slightly brown, remove and place on brown paper
or paper towel to drain away the oil. Let cool, then drizzle with warm honey all over.
