SILKWOOD, born 1876, is also living in the home which leaves me to believe their parents are deceased. Silva Jane's Aunt Synthia is the widow of Thomas, who died in 1872. I am trying to find the date of death and burial place of one of my gggrandfathers, John A. GIBBS, born 1821/1822 Weakley Co., TN. He was last known in Thompsonville, Illinois in the 1900 census at age 78 years. His wife's name was Sarah Frances ROSS EWING. They had two children: George C.R. GIBBS and Estella GIBBS. John A. GIBBS had a way of traveling, making new families and moving on. I have tracked him from TN to VA to Thompsonville, IL. He has disappeared after 1900. His son George died in 1906 and a copy of George's will does not mention a father. I went to Thompsonville last year and searched cemeteries with no luck. A nice volunteer in the county tells me there is no record of his burial there. Any help would be appreciate as my family has searched for him for years. Many of the family genies have passed on themselves without finding him. I am desparately trying to locate this grave while my elderly father is still with us. Thank you in advance for any help.
