I have letters written to my Grandmother, Pearl Ann WEBB McGEE, in the 1920's from her aunts, uncles, and cousins living in Franklin and Hamilton Counties, Illinois. I would like to hear from any of their descendants. Pearl's grandfather was Caleb Sweet WEBB and his children who lived in Illinois at that time were Sylvester and Edgar WEBB, Nancy McCASLIN, and she had a cousin named Rella HOOD. Pearl's father was George Allen WEBB but he emigrated to southeast Missouri where he married Emma SMALLWOOD. He returned to Benton, Illinois with his family for a short time between 1905-10.
I am researching the descendants of Caleb Sweet WEBB. His sons were Sylvester, Edgar and George Allen WEBB and his daughter was Nancy WEBB McCASLIN. They were all alive in the early 1920's. I would love to hear from any of their descendants.
I am interested in the family of Lazarus Right GULLEY and Sarah Catharine SILKWOOD GULLEY. This is the SILKWWOD line of the SILKWOOD Inn. Who is the father of George W. TEFFERTILLER, 1864-1930, that married Sarah Crestenna STOCKTON. Who was James TEFFERTILLER and his wife Elizabeth DEE, born about 1786-1816. Would also like to know about Giles McMILLAN, 1860-1896, who married Martha BRAYFIELD, 1865-1942. Giles father was Joh McMILLEN who married Mary A. GILLEN.

I am doing research on the RUMSEY family of Franklin Co. I have most of my family, on the RUMSEY side, from Franklin Co. While doing research, I found my RUMSEY relatives moved from Saline/Gallatin Co. to Franklin somewhere around the turn of the century? I need info on the family of Ezekil FLEMING and Elvina McGANGA/McGLAN/McGHAH, they a daughter Nancy FLEMING who married Green M. CANTRELL on 12/26/1878 in Franklin Co., then their son Franklin M. FLEMING married Amanda AKIN on 1/19/1879. I'm looking for another son Daniel Henry FLEMING who married Susan Constance SCOTT daughter of Winfield SCOTT and Mary Catherine CLAYTON [DIXON]?? I think Daniel and Susan moved to Texas Co. Mo. where their daughter Emma Ally FLEMING married Andrew Jackson McKINNEY in March of 1898. I found Elvina in the 1860 Ill. Franklin Co.census and I'm assuming that Ezekil had already died. Any info would be much appreciated.
I am searching for anyone who is related to the following surnames MOSS and TAYLOR. My TAYLORS lived mostly is Hamilton Co. IL. but think that some may have slipped into Franklin. Any help on these families appreciated.

Documented purchases of several tracts of land in Benton area, Franklin County 1839 to 184?. Served in Civil War (Ill 15 Cav, Co. C, Benton) and died late 1880s?. I am searching for a second cousin that lives in Carterville, Illinois. Her name is Patricia (YOUNG) SMITH. She moved to Carterville about 3 to 5 years ago from Johnston City. Patricia married a man named SMITH in the early 1970's and he did work at the Pepsi Cola plant in Johnston City. They divorced in the 1980's. They had a daughter name unknown. Patricia's parents were Arie and Mary YOUNG and they lived and died in Johnston City. Can any one help me find Patricia. I know she can help fill in the gaps in my research.
I am looking for information on my gr grandparents Edward Elvis BRENT and his wife Anna Adeline BRILEY. Mostly her parents, Wilson BRILEY and Sarah Lavine MORLAN. Their first child Stella Pearl was a 1/2 sister to the others, one being my grandmother, but I do not know who brought her in to the marriage. My Grandmother was born in Commiskey, Jennings Co., IN. So this might conclude that Anna went to IN around the time she married Edward. My family, though have lived in White, Edwards, and Wabash Co., IL for nearly 70 years. So any help would be greatly appreciated.

Looking for any information about the following MOORE lines: My father, Warren Eugene "Gene" MOORE was born in Sesser, IL 3/19/1926, d. 5/13/1983, the son of John Bert MOORE and Allie (LOUCKS (sp?)) MOORE. John was the son of William D. and Nancy (___) MOORE. William was the son of James and Mary? (McFedrich (sp?)) MOORE. All of the above with the exception of my father are buried in "Horse Prairie Cemetary". Does any of this sound familiar? I believe that James came to Sesser around 1836 or so from Tennessee. Maybe Greene County, but I am not sure.
William D. owned a large peach farm during the depression. Farm was located across the road from what is now the Sesser-Valier High School and was later passed to Samual D. MOORE.
The 1820 Census of White Co., IL shows Joel BERRY, George BERRY, and Enoch BERRY, all living in North of West Twp. Are these three related? Does anyone have any information on these three men? I am looking for a George BERRY who lived in Franklin Co., IL in 1837 where he performed a marriage for an Enoch BERRY. I have not found a George BERRY on any other 1820 census record . Appreciate your help.
I would like information on James and Sophere RICHERSON. Their daughter Nancy married William MURPHY. They are my great-grandparents. They came to Il. in 1863 from Tn. I thought they settled in Williamson or Saline counties but cannot find them there. I would like to see if they settled in Franklin county. William and Nancy's son, Edward Gregory was born on 2-2-1874. William died in 1902. Thank you for any information.

Looking for information of the Joesph and Martha Ellen Smith Burkett family. They lived in Benton, Illinois. Martha Ellen Smith was my grandmother's sister. She was b. Oct. 26, 1879 in Wayne Co. Just found out my ancestor McGuire DOUGHTY, s/o John M. DOUGHTY and Jane McGUIRE had property in Franklin Co. in 1835 and 1837. He would have only been 15 and 17 years of age. Isn't this unusual? He was b. in 1820 and d. ca. 1843. Any info on McGUIRE will be greatly appreciated.

Seeking information on Martin and Ellen ODLE parents of Scott Rhire ODLE (1858 - 1943). Scott's parents died when he was young. When ten years old he moved to Missouri with his aunt, Millie Ellen (ODLE) HAYS and John HAYS about 1868. Brothers of Martin may be Albert and Uriah ODLE.
I am looking for information on Thomas Franklin LOWRY - he was a Baptist minister, I don't know what church. He was married 3 times, his wives in order - Juda, Anna and True. He was my gr-grandfather. I'm estimating his birthdate as between 1880-1885. My grandfather Harold was born in Ewing. Thomas had three son's by Anna, they are Arlus (also known as Mickey), Lowell and Harold. He had one son by True, his name was Lloyd Lindell. I think there was also a daughter, but she died very young and I'm not certain which wife she was by. I'm hitting dead ends every where I turn, so I hope someone can help.

Looking for relatives of Harry Edwin FLANNIGAN b. 8/13/18 in Harrisburg, IL, later moved to Benton, IL whose parents were Harry and Mary FLANNIGAN, who were deaf mutes. Also Ella ROBERSON b. 8/15/23 also in Harrisburg, IL and parents were John Logan ROBERSON and Maude RUDE.

Requesting information on John Corder MURPHY. He lived in Franklin Co. from the 1830's until the late 1850's when he moved to Texas. He was a member of the Benton Lodge of the Masonic Order. He may have been a carpenter. Although I have considerable information on his descendants I have nothing on his parents or siblings. It is my belief his parents were John MURPHY and Polly CORDER, married in 1803 in Caswell Co., NC but I have not been able to verify this. Help is needed. Thank you.

Would like to exchange info with descendants/researchers on Peter HALLOWELL line. He and his family were living in Northern TWP, Franklin County, IL in the 1870 and 1880 census. His daughter, Mary Jane, and her husband, Samuel A. PILSON, and their family were living next door.
Peter HALLOWELL was born in Indiana County, PA on 16 Feb 1816. He died 12 Jun 1898 in IL. Wife was Rachel JEWART. Known children: Mary Jane, Elizabeth, Rachel, Samuel, William, Levina. Believe Levina married Wesley Kern.
John Corder (J.C.) MURPHY was born ca. 1809 in VA. He was in Franklin Co. early enough to serve in the Black Hawk War in 1832. Moved to Texas in 1858. Was married twice. Children from first marriage were Eliza Jane (1833) and Nancy L. (abt 1834). Children from second marriage were McDonald (abt 1845), Francis Marion (2 Aug 1848), Lucy M. (1849), Martin (abt 1853), Murray (abt 1856), Cridonia (abt 1858) and Robert (abt 1863). John Corder MURPHY was a Mason and a member of the Benton Lodge. Any information on these families would be appreciated.
