My ggrandmother was Effie BOND (b. 6/1882 in Franklin County, died 27 Apr 1907, in Zeigler, Franklin County; parents were George W. BOND and Mary or Martha RAMSEY) Other wives were Zilphia E. Browning (b 1862; and was first married to Andrew Jackson SIMS) At the time of his death he was or had been married who's son from a former marriage was DEWITT or DEMITT. Any information of the other wives of William Alvy Ray and on the parents and family of Effie Bond would be appreciated. I am interested in sharing research information of these family lines.

I am particularly interested in any information on the parents and family of Mary Ann Holeman, but also information on the families, marriages and children of any of the children of Pleasant and Mary. Looking for information on ABEL ALLEN, b. abt 1796-VA, wife JANE ALLEN, B. VA. They are first cousins. Abel is son of James & Nancy Ward Allen, and Jane is dau of brother to James, Stephen Allen and Sally Radford Allen. Early they were in Franklin Co., VA (Stephen & Sallay Radford m. 1792, Franklin Co., VA). Family moved to Wayne Co., KY in about 1803, then to Warren Co., KY in about 1813. Family history says that Jane & Abel moved to Franklin Co., IL, as did James & Nancy Ward Allen. Jane & Abel had 8 children. Abel m. (2) PRUDENCE WILKEY, ABT 1833(probably in Franklin Co., IL.) Reportedly James M Little was good friends with the publisher of the Benton newspaper in the 1880's, 1890's and after. Henckley/Henkley/Hankla is the mystery name. A Mr. James Henckley/Henkley/Hankla married Mariah Sanders/Sandusky in 1864. Any help on any of these is greatly appreciated.

I am looking for the grave site of Alexander SUMMERS, born 1817 in Sumner County, Tennessee. He was a son of Thomas SUMMERS, Sr. and Priscilla SUMMERS and came to Franklin County and married Polly SULLIVAN in 1836. He married 2nd Mary HATCHETT in 1855. He was listed in the 1860 census for Franklin Co., but not in the 1870 and 1880. It is possible he went to Texas along with other SUMMERS during that time.

Charles was wounded at Shiloh and Neslon was killed in the same battle. I am trying to find where they were burried. Charles show his place of residence as Webb's Prarie, Franklin County, Il. He married Minerva WHITLOW. Nelson lived at Rome, Franklin County, Il. He married Elizabeth HAWKINS.
