siblings. I do not know if his step-mother Celia kept him with
her or if
he went to live with relatives. In the 1900 Census, David Louis
would

Luther's parents were William H. and Mary Ellen Anglin. James
Anglin was
William's father or brother. james married Elizbeth Stricklin,
in 1885
possibably in Clay co. il.
Luther was born; 1886, Saline co. il.
married, Alta Stricklin, 1910, Paducha ky. (they eloped)
lived last 50 yrs. in Ground Tower, Il. they were married 63 yrs
when
alta died in 1973, Luther died 1980. both are buried in Grand
Tower, in
walker Hill cemetery.
Luther's mother; Mary Ellen died 1945 and is also buried in
Walker Hill.
William H. Anglin died 1895 and is buried in Dutch ridge
cemetery, south

1864, and

Shaneetown area. My grandfather was James Henry Mayfield b.1884,
great
grand father was Ruben Mayfield b.1857, great great grandfather
was John
Mayfield. Ruben Mayfield married Nora Ford. Ruben had a brother
James
David Mayfield and he had a son Edkar Wayne Mayfield b.1887.
They lived
in the Shaneetown area in the mid to late 1800's. They moved to
MO and
AR, They settled in the northeast AR area. The cities that I
know of are
Greyridge, MO., Heber Springs AR, and Weiner AR. Any information
would be
appreciated.

on John M. SWAGER (born in 1832 in PA), who married Rebecca
SMITH (born
in 1826 in PA). Rebecca died on 16 May 1905 and was buried at the
Crawford Cemetery in Ridgeway, IL (Gallatin County). Two of John
&
Rebecca's sons were married in Gallatin County - (1)Warren
Washington
(born 1857 in OH) married Nancy Isabell MATHIS on 9 Oct 1882 in
Shawneetown, IL., and (2)Charles L (born in 1860 in OH) married
Catherine
CHAPPELL on 19 Oct 1882 in Shawneetown, IL. Of John & Rebecca's
three
remaining children, Moreles (born in 1862), Rozetta (born in
1863), and
Cora (born in 1871), I know only that Cora was born in Gallatin
County.
I'm trying to trace the SWAGER family roots back to their
original
Germany origins and would appreciate any information dating
prior to
1832.
