Gates marriage produced these known children: Jeniza and Juliza, twins, b. abt. 1833 in OH; Valentine (male), b. possibly 1835, OH; Clarissa, b. - unk; and Narcissa (sp.vari): Narsissa, Narcissus, Narsissus, b. June 6, 1840 in OH. The Gates children were in Gallatin cty. area by about 1845-1850, believe parents died. 1850 or 1860 census shows some of the Gates children in the home of FRANKLIN BELL, m. to MARY ANN BELL, (maiden name unk.) It is believed that FRANKLIN BELL may be brother of children's mother, first name unk., BELL m.GATES. JENIZA GATES m. SYLVANUS HARRELSON (Jeniza's 2nd m. 1st to Adam Hedger). NARSISSUS GATES m. WILLIAM MILES HARRELSON, SR.They owned the Irish Grocery Store originally located near the Vincennes-Shawnee- town trail. Looking for any info. on the BELL AND GATES origins. Maternal Grandfather of BELL may have been an English shipbuilder.

QRYTEXT: I am looking for information on Chas. W. Bean: Born in Galletin County, IL in approx 1866 if I calculated it right using his son's date of birth and his age at that birth. He married a Mollie Maxfield-Bean who was born in 10-7-1885 and died in 9-1969. I have no other information on him other than his son's name was Jessie James Bean borth on August 31, 1902 and he was 36 at the time of the birth. His son Jessie James was born in ElDorado, IL Galletin County. Any lead would be greatly appreciated I have been searching as a hobby and in my spare time because I am a full time student in college and raising a growing family. Thank you for your time.

Im trying to find out where he was born (the city) in germany and when he came to America. I know he lived in Gallatin co. He is buried in St. Joseph Cemetery. I was told that he is a civil war vet but have found no info to verify. My grandfather George hanselman was born in gallatin, in 1881, so I know my greatgrand father was in Gallatin co. then.
