December 16, 1852. It is my understanding that she was part of
the
Underground Railroad helping slaves to excape from the south.
And that
she was a distant relative of Andrew Johnson. I would like to
know her
exact relationship to Andrew Johnson, and the names of her
parents.
Father is possibly Jessie Johnson, Mother is a Griswold or
Grizzel of
McMinnville, Tenn.

Bucks hill cemetary north of old Shawneetown. Some of my family
is buried
there. My twin brother name John Will Nelson, twins, brother and
sister,
names, Georgia Mae and James Henry Nelson. These were the
children of
"Buck and Martha(Lowe) Nelson they all died in infancy. I
believe also
that my Great grandfather named Henry Clay Lowe,born 1844 died
1910. I
believe the cemetary was named for a man named Fredrick Buck from
Pennsylvania any information you can give me.

for WILLIAM MILTON EMERY married to MARY MELISSA DONALDSON on
January 10,
1873 in Shawneetown, Ill., Gallatin county. Three children were
born to
William and Mary: PHINEAS WILLIAM EMRAH - b. 3-10-1874,
JOHN LOGAN EMRAH - b. 1-30-1876 and
a baby girl b. 4-19-1878.
We believe that William died around 1876 and Mary Melissa died
May 19,
1878, shortly after giving birth to the baby girl born in April.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as we are stuck until we
can learn
more about William Milton and Mary Melissa.

Delaney
born 1836 Edwards Co. IL. to William BROWN & Rachel WATSON,
widowed by
James ELLARD in 1856 left with two children Nancy & Abel ELLARD,
who
married Mary HUTCHCRAFT; Delaney married second Adam BARBRE in
White co
IL. 31 Jan 1857, had two children Rebecca BARBRE who married Hugh
SHERADEN & James BARBRE married Nancy GROMER. Delaney died,
remarried or
was divorced from Adam before 24 June 1864 when Adam married
again.
Sister, Angeline BROWN JENKINS & brother John W. BROWN were
caring for
the two ELLARD children in 1870 White Co IL. census, BARBRE
children were
with their father Adam BARBRE also in White co. Delaney's
brothers,
sisters and uncle Timothy BROWN were living in Edwards, White,
Saline and
Gallatin counties Illinois.
