I am looking for information on the JOINER and
LEDBETTER families of Hardin County (My grandfather and
grandmother on my mothers side). My grandparents were George
b.1-31-1885 d. 1-1959 and Hattie Mae (LEDBETTER) JOINER b.
4-17-1889 d. 11-1968 both from Hardin County. They later lived
in Pope Co. Until their deaths. George's parents were Tom and
Martha JOINER of Hardin County I don't have any information on
then. I believe they lived near Elizabethtown. Hattie's parents
were Henry and Mary Ledbetter (b. 1875?) of or near
Elizabethtown. I don't have dates on b. or d. Henry died early
and Mary remaried a Donathan. She died around 1920 or 21 and is
buried in Pope County Hattie had a brother Rob LEDBETTER who I
believe setled in Missouri. A half sister Connie Donathan lived
in Pope Co. until her death. I believe my Greatgrandparents on
the LEDBETTER side ran a grismill in Elizabethtown in the
1800's. If anyone has any further information please contact me.
Thanks. S. Ramsey
