My father and his siblings were born in
Rosiclare, Hardin County, Illinois. His mother, Ruby Hudson
Hogg, died in childbirth with his sister, Daisy approximately
1894. His father, William Hogg, subsequently placed all of the
children at The Children's Home Society in Illinois (an
orphanage?). My father's name was Edward Hogg. His siblings were
Daisy (adopted by Dodge); Anna (adopted but don't know name),
George Washington (never adopted), and Frank (adopted by a
family from Kansas). My father, Edward, was born in 1892 in
April or July. I would appreciate any information on The
Children's Home Society. If it is still in existence or where I
can go for records. Any other information will be greatly
appreciated. I am at a dead end! .
