Henry County ILGenWeb Project
Lookup Volunteers

Sharing existing on Henry County Illinois is a basic part of this page.   Henry County ILGenWeb Project is proud to have some of the nicest of lookup volunteers around!

We are ALWAYS in need of volunteers who have cds or books who can help their fellow researchers by looking up small requests for information.   If you have any records you can share, we'd love to list you here!  Even if someone else has already volunteered to do lookups in a book you have, volunteer anyway--folks go on vacation or are getting too many requests--we can alway use extra help!

If a book on Henry County exists and we don't have it listed, it's because nobody has stepped forward offering to share information from their copy.

If you have a book on the list for which Susie Martin-Rott is the volunteer and would like to volunteer, PLEASE do so to allow Susie to work on other items for the website.

Henry County Books Available for Purchase

The Henry County Genealogical Society offers genealogical reference books for sale at very reasonable prices.
See the complete listing  on the HCGS  website at http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Hills/9101  .
New books are periodically being added to their listings.

The HCGS has been EXTREMELY generous in allowing us to do lookups from their publications, but we cannot abuse that privledge by doing lookup after lookup in the same book for the same researcher.

If you find yourself asking for more than one or two names from a single HCGS publication, we would ask that you purchase the book.  Book sales and membership dues are how the society finances continued publications.  If you are here, you should join the Henry County Genealogical Society.  Besides getting 4 great Quarterly "Genie" Publications a year, your dues will help pay for more books to be compiled!!!

And don't forget, once you have those books, volunteer to help someone else with their research.
It's just the right thing to do.

Lori Watts Linnell, who has been a long time lookup volunteer for Henry County, has had to withdraw her lookups as she was recently diagnosed with cancer.  We thank Lori for all her help and pray for her recovery.
