post to the list. If you post from an address which is not the one
you are enrolled
on the list with, your
message will "bounce" (will not be posted) as the computer that runs the
list will not know who you are.

instead.... a no-brainer!
A few guidelines
for using the list:
Please
limit postings to those directly related to Henry County, IL history and
genealogy.
No
advertisements or commercial postings (trying to sell something)
are permitted with the exception of
Genealogical or Historical Societies who may wish to make members
aware of newly published records
related to Henry County Genealogy.
Do
not send attached files such as .gif or gedcoms. The list is not
equipped to handle attachments.
No
"flames" or insults to other users - if you have a problem with something
on the list, please email the
individual directly or contact the listowner
via private email.
Anyone
posting, "virus alerts", jokes, etc, or using subscribers emails to send
spam will be banned from the list. The one EXCEPTION is if
an individual discovers they have a virus on their personal computer and
thinks they may have inadvertently sent it to one or all list members may
post a ONE TIME message saying something to the effect of "I discovered
I had xyz virus on my system. You may want to check yours to make
sure I have not accidentally transferred it to other list members."
