ALLEN/TOPPING
In Munson, October 27th, 1873, at the residence of the bride's father, Mr. R. Allen, by Reb. J.B. Sharp, Mr. Wm J. Topping, of Geneseo, to Miss Julia R. Allen.
There were over forty-five persons present; cheering music, an excellent dinner and a grand good time was had. Two of Mr. Allen's married daughters were there from Iowa. He has had three daughters married, all of whom were united in matrimony on the 27th day of October, and each was greeted with a snow storm on the wedding day.

WEDDED WM. PATRICK AND MRS.
CLARA M. CRAIN
MARRIED IN OSCO THURSDAY
At the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Woodward of Osco, Thursday, Nov. 6th, at 4 p.m., occurred the marriage of their cousin Mrs. Clara M. Crain to Wm. Patrick, both of this city.
The ceremony was performed by Rev. Whitter of Cambridge in the presence of immediate relatives only. The wedding march was played by Miss Nellie Woodward.
Following the ceremony and the extending of congratulations, the company retired to the dining room where dinner was served.
Mr. and Mrs. Patrick are both well known and highly respected in this community and have a host of friends who will wish them well in their wedded life.
They returned to Geneseo in the evening and took the 2:20 train Friday morning for their future home at Mason City, Ia., where Mr. Patrick is engaged in the wholesale coal business.

Hiram Francis Woodward and Kate E. Davis. Does anyone know who the
parents of Hiram Francis Woodward might be. I am trying to determine
if this Woodward is related to my great-grandfather, whose daughter is
mentioned in another marriage on this page.

WEDDINGS AT RECTORY
Miss Rose Jones and Miss
Bertha Woodward, Brides
A double wedding took place Saturday evening, at St. John's rectory, the contracting parties being well-known Kewanee young people. The Rev. W. D. McLean was the officiating clergyman.
Miss Rose Jones was married to James Marks and Miss Bertha Woodward became the wife of James Hardy. The young men are employed in the city as molders and they, as well as their brides, have many friends who will extend best wishes and congratulations.
The wedding was a quiet nuptual affair, only a few witnesses being in attendance.

Notes: Miss Rose Jones was
actually Miss Rosannah Lamb, married first to Albert Grice, then to Mr.Jones.
Her sister, Eliza Lamb, was the wife of Richard Woodward and the mother
of Bertha. Thus Rose Jones Marks was the aunt of Bertha Woodward.

MARRIED. We acknowledge receipt of cards announcing the marriage at Cambridge, Illinois, of Mr. H. S. Davenport, of this place, to Miss Nettie R. Page, on Thursday, January 20th, 1882.
