Quarterly Meetings

Quarterly General Membership Meetings are at 7:00 pm at the Hinckley Community Building unless otherwise announced. Meetings are held on the second Monday of January, April, July and October unless otherwise announced.

Jeffrey Bockman (sponsored by the Illinois Humanities Road Scholar Program) returns to present: Extra, Extra Read All About Your Ancestor.

This program will show you the wealth of information found in newspapers that can help you learn about your ancestors and the times in which they lived. Learn how to locate some of those little gems with published extracts, online and printed indexes, or online searches.

Jeffrey Bockman is a Genealogy lecturer and writer. He was a contributing editor for the Everton's Genealogical Helper and a feature writer for the Heritage Quest Magazine. His articles have also appeared in various other publications. He was the President of the DuPage County Genealogical Society for 5 terms. He is the author of Give Your Family A Gift That Money Can't Buy, a book that encourages people to record and preserve their family's history.
