     The Historical Museum and Genealogical Society Archives are located at the address above, one block south of US Hwy 24. The archives are open each business day from 10:00 - 4:00 p.m. Central Time. Publications are available in the Historical Society Gift Shop as well as in The Genealogy Room in the same building. These include many cemetery records.

One on One Program
We will be having a One on One Program
The Week of February 22, 2016 from 10 to 4.
There will snacks and volunteers.

Leap Year Special
Come LEAP into Genealogy on Monday February 29th -- 10 to 6
for food, fun,and discounts - 29% discount.
We are staying open two extra hours so you can come
after work to take advantage of this special event.
Come join us from 4-6 for Pizza!

Notorious and Infamous of Iroquois County
Where: the Old Courthouse Courtroom
When: April 10 at 2:00pm
These are people who are murderers, arsonists, robbers, or just plain bad people. We always hear about the good people in the county. You want to hear something different? Then come to the Infamous and Notorious.
This program is free but donations will be accepted.

Friday the 13th Supper
May 13 we will celebrate Friday the 13th with a superstitous meal in the evening.

One on One Week
June 20 - 24 is another growing in popularity One On One Program

Fair Week
July 20-25 we will be at the Iroquois County Fair

French Day at Beaverville
27 August 2016 at 10:00am
The Iroquois County Genealogy Society and the Kankakee Valley Genealogy Society
are presenting a day of French history, information, and research.
This will be held on August 27 at the St Marys Fellowship Hall in Beaverville, Illinois.
This is an all-day event with lunch served, afternoon snacks, raffle items,
and much, much information on our French ancestors who settled in this area.

Cost for this event will be $15 for non-members and $10 if you are a member
of either the Iroquois County or Kankakee Valley Genealogy Societies.

Cemetery Walk at Maple Grove Cemetery
We are planning the 4th Cemetery Walk
September 11, 2016 at 2 p.m.
at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Milford.
We have 10 presenters this year talking about the history of the cemetery, the symbols on the stones,
and some of the people buried there, such as teachers of the area, a murderess,
a Civil War soldier, a corn breeder and more.

The cost is $5.00 and should take about an hour for the complete tour.

Harvest Daze
We will be serving Ham and Beans again this October 1 in the Big Tent.
