The extensive collection of obituaries held by the Iroquois County Genealogical Society is being indexed and will be included on the website as each letter of the alphabet is completed. The first series of obituaries will be for those deaths that occurred through December 1950. This is a long term project that is being done by volunteers and will take many years of time and work.

The obituary file has been in the capable hands of Pat Orr, a dedicated member of the Society and a faithful volunteer for many years. She has kept the obituaries updated on a regular basis. Anyone who has had access to these obituaries must appreciate the many hours, which can only be considered a labor of love, that Pat has devoted to this project.
