OBITUARY INDEX
From 1976
This INDEX was extracted from obituaries appearing
in the Journal-Courier, Jacksonville, Illinois and a collection of obits
owned by JAG&HS member, Miss Elizabeth Hardy of Jacksonville; she began
in 1976. Miss Hardy and JAGHS member, Warren Haley of Jacksonville typed
an index to those obituaries collected between dates 1976-1995. Since 1996,
members of the Jacksonville Area Genealogical & Historical Society
have continued to cut and paste the obits into an alpabetically arranged
file for each year and placed the file into notebooks easy for the public
to use. * indicates service veteran.
