Elsie Ida Atchison

Elsie Ida ATCHISSON, 82 Mt. Vernon, died 5:55 a.m. July 4, 1991, at Mt. Vernon 
Countryside Manor.  Mrs. ATCHISSON was a seamstress at Mt. Vernon Garment Factory 
for several years.  

She was born February 1, 1909, in Hamilton County, a daughter of Benjamin Franklin 
and Minnie Ann (DURHAM) GREEN.  April 6, 1929, she married Delbert ATCHISSON, who 
died February 26, 1967.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Hughey Funeral Home with the Rev. Loy SHAW 
officiating.  Burial will follow at Hams Grove Cemetery.  Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. 
today at the funeral home.

Survivors include one brother, George GREEN of Mt. Vernon and 14 nieces and nephews.  
Mrs. ATCHISSON was a member of the First Church of God on North 42nd Street, Mt. Vernon.  
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and five sisters.
