Nancy Beckham Dies At Age 81; Rites Thursday

Mrs. Nancy Elizabeth Beckham died at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, at her home 
RFD 1, Bonnie in Elk Prairie township.

She was 81 years, three months and four days of age.

Mrs. Beckham was a member of the Elk Prairie Christian Church, where 
funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. J. G. Parsons 
will officiate and burial will be in South Hickory Hill cemetery.

The body will lie in state at Myers Chapel, where friends may call.

Mrs. Beckham was born July 26, 1875 in Jefferson county, the daughter of 
John and Sarah (Gray) Hays. She was a lifetime residnet of this county.

She was married to Odes Beckham, who preceded her in death January 27, 1953.

Surviving are two sons, Howard and Harold of Bonnie, three brothers, Walter, 
Neal, and Lee Hays of Mt. Vernon; and a sister, Mrs. Edith Wells of Bonnie.
