James Marion BIGHAM 
Death At Seymour James Marion BIGHAM Expired at the age of 79 

Seymour, March 25 James Marion BIGHAM, 79 years old, died this morning at the home of 
his son-in-law, George SHAW, residing on the KOOGLER farm, one mile north and one mile 
west of this village. He had been sick for the past three weeks, also suffering from gangrene. 
He leave several children near Ina, Jefferson county, where the body will be taken tomorrow 
for burial. He also has several grandchildren near Bondville. Champaign Daily Gazette page 
5 March 25, 1919 James M. BIGHAM died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. George SHAW, 
Tuesday, March 25, aged nearly 80 years. He was born May 3, 1840 in Tennessee. He leaves 
Mrs. SHAW, a daughter, and a son D.E.BIGHAM of near Seymour and several grandchildren. 

The remains were shipped today to Ina, Ill. where he will be buried March 27.
