Mrs. Leona Boswell, 78, 1100 Newby Ave., died at 10 a.m. Sunday at
Good Samaritan Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Corinthian
Baptist Church, with the Rev. Edgar G. Mayes officiating. Burial will
be in Oakwood cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Tuesday. The Parker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Boswell was born on Nov. 5, 1895, in Arkansas, the daughter of David C. and
Adia (Bryant) Poole.
She married Arlue Boswell, who preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Baptist Church, the Mt. Vernon Gospel Chorus and
the Queen City Court of Calanthe No. 27.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Charles Hamler, and a nephew, Jesse C. Hamler,
both of Springfield.
