John H. Brookman Dies today; 
Rites Wednesday



John Harvey Brookman died at 2:10 o’clock this morning at his home, 808
South Twelfth Street. His age was 38 years, two months and 15 days.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon at the Wesley
M.E. church, conducted by Rev. R.M. Stockton and burial will follow in
Oakdale cemetery. The body will remain Hawkins Funeral Home until nine o’clock 
tomorrow morning, at which time it will be taken to the south Twelfth street home. 

He is survived by his widow, Nellie; three children, Ruby, Christine
and Jimmy, at home: five brothers, Ralph, Christie, Herald, Donald and
Carl: and two sisters Mrs. Vance Skinner and Mrs. Henry Dippold
