LOUISA BROWN 
MT. VERNON    
                     
Louisa Ann Brown, 98, Mt. Vernon, died 9:25 p.m. 
Aug. 19, 1991, at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center. 
Mrs. Brown was employed at Mt. Vernon Shoe Factory for 
several years. 

She was born Jan. 16, 1893, in Jefferson County, a daughter 
of James L. "Frank" and Nebraska (Hutchison) Wells. Oct. 19, 1911, 
in Jefferson County, she married John D. Brown, who died 
Sept. 12, 1960. 

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Hughey Funeral Home with 
Maurice Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood 
Cemetery. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. 

Mrs. Brown is survived by two sons, Frank A. Brown and wife Inez, 
of Mt. Vernon, and Delmar Brown and wife, Mildred of Benton; 
two daughters, Mrs. Archie (Mildred) Coulter and Mrs. Rayburn 
(Pauline) Hayse, both of Mt. Vernon; six grandchildren; nine 
great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and several 
nieces and nephews. 

Mrs. Brown was a member of Southwest Christian Church. 

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, 
five brothers and four sisters
